The content and instructions of the CIDT2 training given to the participating VFA staff was professional, task based, very informative and even a little thought provoking.  I particularly enjoyed how to instill how officers should / must visually present and behave when dealing with members of the public.  I have been in this job for a long time and was extremely impressed with this trainers preparation on the day and overall quality of the training session.

Your culture aligns nicely with ours.  Professionalism and communication skills are the most important element and I was glad you spent half of the day on this area to reinforce it.

For our CIDT2 Refresher Training I was very happy as the training was kept simple and repetitive so we will be able to remember better.

The content and lesson plans for CIDT2 Initial Course were very well constructed.  There was minimal down time and the material flowed from the first day to the end.

 

The entire class was engaged throughout the five days.

 

This course provided great foundational training.  I was impressed to see the trainees mature and work with confidence, especially as they had never handled handcuffs, OC spray or batons before.

Trainer was excellent, he provides the type of training that enables memory retention as opposed to teaching a variety of grappling moves.  The simple fact is they concentrated on the basics handcuffing, spray and baton strikes.

I found the CIDT2  Initial Course excellent.  It introduced and consolidated an effective framework for dealing with difficult persons, working safely and diffusing situations with tactical communications, all while ensuring that safety was the absolute primary.  Paul introduced OSDE, which was mostly foreign to our group.  Paul delivered this component of the training in a manner which allowed for an almost seamless transition of gaining familiarity with each item, through to safely and effectively using them during simulations.

All in all a great course and an excellent opportunity to build upon skills learned through CIDT1 training.

This course was so well done.  As you are an excellent teacher I feel more confident about engaging with members of the community and believe the skills I learnt will enable me to perform my job in a safer and more effective manner.
